World Radio Day in Tunisia: Radio Forum "What place for associative radios and youth in the Tunisian audiovisual landscape?”
16 Feb 10:00 - 17 Mar 18:00,
This radio-focused forum is being organized in Dar El Dey Douz by UNESCO’s Project Office in Tunis with the support of the EU-funded NET-MED Youth project, in partnership with associative radio "Nefzaoua", the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA), and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Tunis. The event will be held in the framework of the annual celebration of World Radio Day.
The forum will support the voices of young people through local media/associative radios in interior regions of the country. The goal is also to promote the recognition of associative and alternative media and their sustainability, both in law (as per the current audiovisual bill) and in practice. The celebration will include a plenary session followed by five parallel workshops addressing key topics (youth and radio, the place of associative radios in the audiovisual bill and guidelines for their sustainability, radio and sports, radio and gender, etc.).
Direct coverage of the forum will be ensured through a mobile study especially set for the event, and the content produced will be shared with other public and private radios.
