Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohammad al Momani, Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and Jordan Government Spokesman, an event will be held to celebrate World Radio Day, in the framework of the EU-funded projects NET-MED Youth and “Support to Media in Jordan”. The commemoration will feature a panel discussion on radio, sports coverage and their role in challenging stereotypes, promoting a balanced coverage of men's and women's sports and a fair portrayal of sportspeople irrespective of gender. The activity follows a week-long training on sports reporting that benefitted ten young radio staff and volunteers at Yarmouk FM.
